Albertinia Ingenieurswerke (Albertinia Engineering), which provides custom engineering and fabrication solutions, was founded by Hennie le Roux in 1984. Initially, the business only performed repair work, but soon Hennie and his team started with steel-frame construction. The business continued to diversify and begun manufacturing feeding troughs and twin-axle trailers for livestock transportation.

In the early 90s, Albertinia Engineering is registered as an SABS-certified trailer manufacturer.

At the turn of the century, Odendaal Koen joins the business as a fitter and turner, and begins to master multiple disciplines of the business.

In 2012, production of header trailers commences.

In 2014, Odendaal buys Albertinia Ingenieurswerke from Hennie le Roux. In the same year, development of the multi-purpose spreader starts, and the first tests are conducted.

In 2015, Albertinia Engineering exhibits the limestone spreader at the Agri Mega Harvest Day (now Nampo) in Bredasdorp.

In 2021, agriculture magazine Landbouweekblad publishes a feature on Albertinia Engineering’s first multi-purpose spreader.
